Victor “Vic” Miesner age 87 of Strawberry died Saturday November 9, 2013 at a Batesville hospital. He was born March 29, 1926 at Mora, Missouri to Martin Rudolph and Alma C. (Oelrichs) Miesner. He was a disabled veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served in WWII. He was a member of the DAV, the VFW and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a member of the Strawberry Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Leroy Miesner, Ervin Miesner and Virgil Miesner and two grandchildren, Christina Miesner and Lexie Rae Climber. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Eithel Long Miesner of the home; four sons, Victor Miesner Jr. of Mt. Pleasant, Sam Miesner of Jonesboro, Phil Miesner of Rison and Adrian (Butch) Miesner Sr. of Calamine; two daughters, Tammy Sellers of Calamine and Debbie Wigginton of Grange; 19 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Strawberry Church of Christ with Larry Sellers and Tommy Boles officiating. Burial will follow in the Milligan Campground Cemetery located near Strawberry with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 13, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the Strawberry Church of Christ. Pallbearers will be Adrian Miesner Jr., David Wigginton Jr., Chris Sellers, Matt Sellers, Tyler Dobbs, Steven Dobbs, Colton Jones, Robert Jones, Spencer Wright, Lomer Turney, Peyton Dobbs and Joel Miesner. Honorary pallbearers are Steve Turner, Randall Northcutt, Ronald Whitmire, Waymon Long, Bob Long, Robert Northcutt, J.C. Stair, Carroll V. Willmuth, F.K.
