Connie A. Worley Collier

Connie A. Worley Collier age 91 of Batesville died Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Cherokee Village. She was born August 29, 1922 at Odell, Texas to Earnest L. and Ellen Jones Worley. She was retired owner/operator of Specialty Foods in Batesville and had also been post mistress and a gift shop manager both in Cherokee Village. She was a member of the Central Avenue Church of Christ in Batesville. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glenn D. Collier Sr.; one son, Glenn D. Collier Jr.; two brothers, Leland L. Worley and Elza H. Worley and one sister, Verna J. Williams. Survivors include one son, David W. Collier of Batesville; one granddaughter, Melissa Marie Whitaker of Lubbock, Texas; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Central Avenue Church of Christ in Batesville with Royce Pendergrass officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery located near Cushman with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will be Monday, November 25, 2013 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service in Batesville. Pallbearers will be Tony Collier, Gayle Collier, Jeff Zelasko, Donald Boles, Bobby Smithee and Rick Hambrick.
