Marvin C. Chavers age 71 of Batesville died Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at a Batesville hospital. He was born June 30, 1942 at Batesville, Arkansas to Carthel C. and Fredith Kimbrough Chavers. He was retired from White River Medical Center in Batesville with 28 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran and of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Linda Kay Chavers; one daughter, Bridgett Chavers; two sisters, Winnie Gardner and Faye Gast. Survivors include two sons Richard Chavers and Allen Chavers both of Batesville; one daughter, Telisa VanWinkle of Cave City; one brother, Harold Chavers of Gurdon; two sisters, Jackie Embrey and Joann Chavers both of Batesville; 17 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will begin Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City with Bro Mitchell Kazee officiating Burial will follow in the Cave City Cemetery located at Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Friday November 29, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel. Pallbearers will be Charles Tipton, Joseph Olinger, Bryan Chavers, David Meyer, Lucas Jansky and Adam Chavers.
