Helen Ernestine Tracy age 88 of Trumann (formerly of Batesville) died Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at a Jonesboro hospital. She was born November 17, 1925 at Charlotte, Arkansas to Ernest Earl and Lucille (Walton) Cossey. She was a homemaker and a retired nurse’s assistant. She was a auxiliary member of the Northside Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Victory Baptist Church at Pfeiffer. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.W. Tracy; one son; J.R. James and three brothers, Doyle Cossey, Verle Cossey and Loyd Cossey. Survivors include one son, Darren Tracy and wife Gina of Trumann; one brother, Clyde Cossey of Cave City; a daughter-in-law, Connie James Durham of Batesville; five grandchildren, Sherri Brady, Jessica McGaha, Kyle Tracy and Malachi Tracy all of Batesville and Anthony Tracy of Trumann; six great grandchildren, Shaun McGaha, Brandon McGaha, Nichole Brady, Shelby Tracy, Lexie Tracy and Brently Tracy; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Friday, January 10, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Victory Baptist Church located at Pfeiffer with Bro. Alan West officiating. Burial will follow in the Charlotte Cemetery located at Charlotte with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will be Friday, January 10, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church. Pallbearers will be Shaun McGaha, Brandon McGaha, Robert Brady, Anthony Tracy, Kyle Tracy and Malachi Tracy. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael McGaha, Cliff Liles, Paul Cossey, David Cossey, Kevin Cossey and Rick Huckabee.
