Earlene “Dixie” Brown age 77 of Batesville died Sunday January 12, 2014 at a Searcy hospital. She was born November 5, 1936 at Denmark, Arkansas to Cleddie and Ora (Roberson) Middleton. She was a homemaker and retired from White Rodgers in Batesville. She was member of the Lifeline Southern Baptist Church at Pleasant Plains. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Ardell Middleton, F.L. Middleton, Paul Middleton and Earl Middleton and two sisters, Thelma Hallmark and Zora Sliter. Survivors include her husband Lester Leon Brown Jr. of the home; two sons, Dennis Huston of Batesville and Donnie Huston of Newark; two daughters, Vickie Dejean of Batesville and Roxann Lamons of Floral; one brother, D.C. Middleton of Dardanelle; two sisters, Alma Sliter of Center and Mayona McDougal of Pfeiffer; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 16, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lifeline Southern Baptist Church at Pleasant Plains with Bro. Dickie Sutter officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Grove Cemetery located near Pleasant Plains with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 15, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jacob Guyette, Eric Guyette, Dustin Dayberry, Joshua Huston, Beau Lamons and Elvis Pendleton Jr.
