Alicia (Gann) Smith age 34 of Desha (formerly of Cave City) died Friday, January 24, 2014 at her home. She was born June 6, 1979 at Salem, Arkansas to Eddie Dean and Janet Marie (Langston) Gann. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Wesley Watts and a twin sister, Heather Dean Gann Hill. Survivors include one son, Jared Smith of Sherwood; three daughters, Heather Smith, Morgan Smith and Emily Smith all of Sherwood; her mother, Janet Ritchie of Concord; her father, Eddie Gann of Maynard; one brother, Steven Patterson of Newark; one sister, Latasha Gann of Cave City; her grandparents, Wanda Watts of Desha and Charles and Roberta Hutchison of Cave City; two nieces; one nephew; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will begin Monday, January 27, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Bro. Ron Byrd officiating. Burial will follow in the Cave City Cemetery located at Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will be Sunday, January 26, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jody Lovell, Jason Wilkerson, Richard Groves, Charles Hutchison and Mary Jo Parker. Honorary pallbearers are the Nurses and Staff of Hospice Home Care of Conway.
