Merleen Gunn

Merleen Gunn age 74 of Batesville died Friday, January 31, 2014 at a Batesville nursing home. She was born September 18, 1939 at Pumpkin Bend, Arkansas to Rufus Luke and Raney May Wiggins Browning. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; David Gunn; one brother, Marshall Browning and two sisters, Erleen Odom and Anna Faye Coley. Survivors include one daughter, Donna Hawkins of Batesville; two granddaughters, Bree Burruss of Bradford and Amber Russell of Dewitt; three great grandchildren, Lauren Burruss, Emma Burruss and Wesley Burruss Jr. all of Bradford; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Pumpkin Bend Cemetery located near McCrory. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will be Monday, February 3, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Honorary pallbearers are Steve Cooke, Roger Meeler and Ricky Nail.
