Oras D. Miller age 93 of Cave City died Monday, February 3, 2014 at a Little Rock hospital. He was born July 8, 1920 at Sidney, Arkansas to E.L. and Eula Mae (Chaudoin) Miller. He was a retired Postmaster at Sidney with 24 years of service and a farmer. He was a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran of WWII having served in the European Theater. He was a member and deacon of the Maxville Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City. He was ordained as a deacon in 1952. He was an avid reader and his life’s passion was his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Morris Miller; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lillian and Burl Provence and Ella Jean and Coy Vest. Survivors include, his wife of 72 years, Ola Mae Miller of the home; one son, Steve Miller and wife Gina of Evening Shade; one daughter, Margaret Perkey and husband Arbra of Cave City; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Miller of Conway; one brother, J.C. Miller of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 7 grandchildren, Lorrie Smith and husband Rohm of Springdale, Angie Hooker and husband Bobby, Rachel Jackson and husband Casey, Denise Wooldridge and husband Chad all of Cave City, Jennifer Cannon and husband Blake, Joe Warren and wife Dee, Shelley Gallap and husband Denny all of Batesville; 14 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 6, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Maxville Missionary Baptist Church located at Cave City with Bro. Boyce Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery located at Sidney with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 5, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Bobby Hooker, Casey Jackson, Rohm Smith, Blake Cannon, Chad Wooldridge and Denny Gallap.
