Sylvia Ann Altom Shelton

Sylvia Ann Altom Shelton age 93 of Tulsa, Oklahoma (formerly of the Hutchinson Mountain Community died Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born May 22, 1920 at Bald Knob, Arkansas to Levi and Effie Mae (Sheffer) Turner. She was a homemaker and retired from Banquet Foods in Batesville. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Dorris Altom and Ed Shelton; one son, Terry Altom; three brothers, John Turner, Virgil Turner and Albert Turner and three sisters, Ollie Mae Altom, Naomi Lambert and Lorena Gould. Survivors include one grandson, Terry Altom II and his wife Laura of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two great- grandchildren, Terry Altom III and Hannah Altom both of Tulsa, Oklahoma; a daughter-in-law, Judy Altom of Southside; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will begin Monday, February 10, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Charles Turner officiating. Burial will follow in the Palestine Cemetery located in the Hutchinson Mtn. Community with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will be Monday, February 10, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Steve Moore, Ryan Maas, Harold Reeves, Tom Martin, Matt Martin and Justin Johnson.
