Guy Branscum

Guy Branscum age 86 of Ash Flat died Friday April 11, 2014 at a Batesville hospital. He was born July 22, 1927 in Stone County, Arkansas to Tram and Viola (Roper) Branscum. He was retired from the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department; a United States Air Force veteran of WWII and was of the Christian faith. His family was the most important part of his life and he enjoyed spending time with his family.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Avis (Marlin) Branscum; four brothers, Arlis Branscum, Homer Branscum, Sherman Branscum and Eldon Branscum and three sisters, Eula Herron, Alta Bristow and Winona Day.  Survivors include one son , Jerry Branscum of Ash Flat; one granddaughter, Tiffany Branscum of Ash Flat; one brother, Garland Branscum of Ash Flat; one sister, Opal York of Morriston; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.  Graveside services will be Sunday, April 13, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wiles Cemetery located at Ash Flat with Bro. Bill Sagely officiating.   Arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.  No visitation is planned
