Charlie "Dawg" Lancaster

Charlie “Dawg” Lancaster age 63 of Batesville died Friday May 2, 2014 at Hot Springs. He was born January 28, 1951 at Batesville, Arkansas to Charles Greer and Lela Lavern (Smith) Lancaster. He was employed by Cummings Chip Seal in Batesville and DZ Atlantic. He enjoyed riding horses and his Harley. He was of the Baptist faith.  He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Heath Aaron Lancaster and one sister, Marsha Lancaster Vickers.  Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Starla Hunter Lancaster of the home; one son Brian Lancaster and wife Vanessa of Batesville; one daughter, Holly Lancaster of Batesville; two grandchildren, Jaron Lancaster and Luke Lancaster both of Batesville; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.  Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Bro. John Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Alderbrook Cemetery located at Desha with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.  Visitation will be Monday, May 5, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Pallbearers will be Calvin Haney, Lanny Joe Felts, Bobby Cummings, Will Schultz, Danny Henderson and Kenneth Ard.  Honorary pallbearers are Philip Herrin, Nathan Huffman, Chris Collins, Charlie Skaggs and all of his nephews.
