Nancy Lee Ford Mitchell age 89 of Batesville died Wednesday, May 28, 2014 in Batesville. She was born August 19, 1924 at Needmore, Arkansas to George and Nettie Carpenter Ford. She was retired from Sterlings and Wal-Mart both in Batesville. She was a member of the Harrison Street Church of Christ in Batesville. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Floyd Mitchell; five brothers and six sisters. Survivors include four daughters, Christine Shaw of Mt. Pleasant, Connie Clark of Batesville, Louise Cook of Needmore and Lanelle Love of Mt. Pleasant; one son, Dale Smith of Mt. Pleasant; three stepsons, Dwight Mitchell and Paul Mitchell both of Batesville and Donnie Mitchell of Charleston; one stepdaughter, Ann Wilson of Hot Springs Village; twelve grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends Funeral services will be Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Bro. Alvin Wiles officiating. Burial will follow in the Finley Creek Cemetery located near Sidney with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will be Friday May 30, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Scott Clark, Casey Shaw, Brian Ivie, Brandon Love, Brock Love, Brett Love and Jonathan Smith. Honorary pallbearers are her great grandsons and son-in-laws.
