Gorden L. “Hoss” Bristow age 81 of Cave City died Friday, June 13, 2014 at a Batesville hospital. He was born April 10, 1933 at Ash Flat, Arkansas to Samuel Tillman and Sarah Irene (Roberts) Bristow. He was a retired mechanic and auto body technician having worked for Patterson Ford in Cave City for 37 years. He was of the Pentecostal faith. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Laura Roselee (Headley) Bristow and two brothers, Jimmy Dale Bristow and Leonard “Bill” Bristow. Survivors include two sons; two daughters; one brother, Junior Bristow of Cave City; five sisters, Minnie Estes, Derlene Rogers and Donna Ables all of Cave City, Betty Goodman of Evening Shade and Bessie Sue Booth of Salem; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Monday, June 16, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Free Will Baptist Church located in Cave City with Bro. Wayne Goodman officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery located east of Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Sunday, June 15, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Michael Paul Lassiter, Charlie Clinton, Chris Laman, Travis Reynolds, Joel Stout and Michael Davis. Honorary pallbearers are Pete Ring, Bobby Ring, Leonard St. John, Richard Penn, Dana Brown, Mitch Jackson and Blake Jackson.
