Ivan Miller

Ivan Miller age 67 of Pleasant Plains died Saturday June 14, 2014 at his home. He was born October 26, 1946 to Dave and Pearl Miller. He was a carpenter and worked in the building industry for 40 plus years until force to stop due to his illness. He enjoyed traveling and being outdoors. He especially enjoyed exploring the State of Texas and deer hunting with his grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Calvin Miller and one sister, Retha Windland. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Glenda Knatcal Miller of the home; one daughter, Janet Hibbitts and husband Richard of Step Rock; one grandson, Cody Hibbits of Step Rock; one brother, Ray Miller of Pleasant Plains; one sister, Ruth Goodson of Amarillo, Texas; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Bro. Jim Platt officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Grove Cemetery located at Pleasant Plains with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 17, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Michael Altom, Steven Hibbitts, Mike Justice, Ricky Miller, Austin Rollins and Lee Rollins. Honorary pallbearers are Andrew Altom and Richard Hibbitts.
