Boyd Reynolds

Boyd Reynolds age 78 of Batesville died Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at his home. He was born January 9, 1936 at Batesville, Arkansas to Earl and Nettie Dunegan Reynolds. He was a retired logger and of the Pentecostal faith. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, spending time with his family and walking with his dog Dolly. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, William Reynolds, Steve Reynolds, Tex Reynolds and Jurle Reynolds; two sisters, Wanda Smith and Lorene Pool. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Vera Reynolds of the home; two sons, Richard Reynolds and John Reynolds both of Batesville; two daughters, Sandra Polston and Nancy Flanigan both of Batesville; two brothers, Gene Reynolds of Texarkana, Texas and Henry Reynolds of McCloud, Texas; two sisters, Murle Thompson of Cave City and Carolyn Reynolds of Sandtown; five grandchildren, Adam Reynolds, Nathan Flanigan, Alan Jackson, Maryah Reynolds and William J. Reynolds; two great grandchildren, Kayden Flanigan and Austin Flanigan; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Bro. Orville Berg officiating. Burial will follow in the Lee’s Chapel Cemetery located at Sandtown with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will be Friday, June 27, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be William J. Reynolds, Adam Reynolds, Billy Joe Robbins, David Reynolds, Junior Acklin and Steve Reynolds. Honorary pallbearers are Nathan Flanigan, Alan Jackson, Jerry Robbins, Maryah Reynolds, James Robbins, Robert Robbins, Rickey Bob Reynolds, Rickey Perkey and Leland Smith.
