John “David” Glover age 63 of Batesville died Thursday, July 10, 2014 at a Little Rock hospital. He was born January 28, 1951 at Star City, Arkansas to John Eddie and Elline (Bennett) Glover. He was a retired meat market manager and a Free Will Baptist minister. He was a member of the Oakland Free Will Baptist Church at Bradford. He was preceded in death by his father, one son, John David Glover Jr.; one brother, Wilbur Glover; one sister, Linda Glover and one grandson, Tyler J. Gilliam. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Judy (Dean) Glover of the home; two sons, Trevor Gilliam and Chuck Carrington both of Batesville; five daughters, Terrie Briant of Monticello, Sherrie Farrand of Cabot; Daphne Rose of Little Rock, Taylor Colvin and Tabatha Martin both of Pleasant Plains; his mother, Elline Appling of Star City; two brothers, Gary Glover and Dewayne Glover both of Star City; one sister, Rita Jackson of Star City; five grandchildren, Chandler Wilson of Rogers, Jenny Kissinger of Pleasant Plains, McCauley Wilson of Cabot, Jill Nemeth of Ward and Aaron Caples of Cabot; nine great grandchildren, Corbin Cousins, Bannon Kersey, Madyson Colvin, Jaxon Colvin, Hayden Martin, Taegen Gilliam, Bentlee Martin Grayson Kissinger and Mazie Gilliam; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Monday, July 14, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Mark Welter and Thomas Bible officiating. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Newton Chapel Cemetery located at Star City with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will be Sunday July 13, 2014 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville. Pallbearers will be Justin Colvin, McCauley Wilson, Gary Glover, Dewayne Glover and Chuck Carrington. Honorary pallbearers are Chance Martin and Chandler Wilson.
