Eithel Long Miesner

February 26, 1923 — July 13, 2014

Eithel Long Miesner age 91 of Strawberry died Sunday, July 13, 2014 at a Jonesboro hospital. She was born February 26, 1923 at Dowdy, Arkansas to Adrian Columbus and Mary (Roffener) Long. She was a homemaker, worked for Skil Corporation in Walnut Ridge, worked as a Home Health Care Aide and in her early years worked in the shipyards in California. She was a member of the Strawberry Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Victor L. “Vic” Miesner; three brothers, Keith Long, Waymon Long and R.L. Long; two sisters, Beulah Roberts and Velma Whitmire and two granddaughters, Lexie Rae Climer and Christina Miesner. Survivors include four sons, Victor Miesner Jr. and wife Grace of Melbourne, Sam Miesner of Jonesboro, Phil Miesner and wife Sherry of Rison and Adrian “Butch” Miesner Sr. of Calamine; two daughters, Tammy Sellers and husband Larry of Calamine and Debbie Wigginton and husband David of Grange; nineteen grandchildren; forty-four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives. Funeral services will be Friday, July 18, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Strawberry Church of Christ with Tommy Boles officiating. Burial will follow in the Milligan Campground Cemetery located at Calamine with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Friday, July 18, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Pallbearers are Adrian Miesner Jr., David Wigginton Jr., Chris Sellers, Nick Sellers, Matt Sellers, Josh Sellers, Spencer Wright and Joel Miesner. Honorary pallbearers are Randall Northcutt, Ronald Whitmire, Waymon Long, Doug Bennett, Bob Long, Robert Northcutt, J.C. Stair, Keith Byler, David Smith, Scott Whitmire, Craig Whitmire, Hershel Gilliam, Noel Ray Durham, John Cannon, Lomer Turney, Barrett Harrelson, Robert Jones, Steven Dobbs and Wilbur Furrow.
