Anna York Allgood

Anna York Allgood age 76 of Floral died Saturday September 6, 2014 at a Batesville hospital. She was born April 4, 1938 at Marcella, Arkansas to James William and Ethel Jane (Martin) York. She worked many years for Tharp Brothers in Floral. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Virginia Allgood; one brother, Charles York; and two sisters, Margaret Cannon and Jean Pruitt. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, W.R. Allgood of the home; one daughter, Connie Bartley and husband Eddie of El Paso, AR; four sisters, Marie Stair of Vancouver, WA, Martha Sutton of Desha, AR, Dorothy King of Marcella, AR and Shirley West of Drasco, AR; two grandchildren, Billy Bartley of El Paso,AR and Christie Hale of Vilonia, AR; two great grandchildren, Cody Hale and Caleb Hale both of Vilonia; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the New Bethel Baptist Church located at Floral with Bro. Randy Altom officiating. Burial will follow in the Burkett Cemetery located at Floral with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 9, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Johnny Sutter, Phillip Sexton, Billy McAdams, John Boswell, Jerry Allen and Rocky Sutton. Honorary pallbearers are Doug Wilson, Paul Allgood, John Stoner, James Taylor, Andy Sample, Terry Allen, Kenny Crisler and Billy Crisler.
