Arlan Carl Camden age 85 of Batesville died Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at a Batesville nursing home. He was born June 6, 1929 at Beedeville, Arkansas to Taylor and Ida Mae Goforth Camden. He was a United Pentecostal minister having pioneered churches in Salem, Mo, Payson, AZ, Valley Farms, AZ and Melbourne, AR. He also pastored in Ellington, Mo. He was a United States Marine Corp veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of First Church UPC in Batesville where he was a former board member. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Faith Arlene Camden; three brothers, Cecil Camden, Willard Camden and Clinton Camden and five sisters, Roxanne Hammond, Leona Alexander, Myrtle Mooney, Lorene Bowers and Retha Owens. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Sarah Baldwin Camden; two sons, Michael Carl Camden of Batesville and Brian Keith Camden of Marquette, MI; two daughters, Annette Parmley of Batesville and Crystal Albright of Mesa, AZ; one brother, Russell Camden of Batesville; one sister, Leila Skelton of Park Hills, MO; seven grandchildren, Michael Taylor Camden, Jeremy Shane Camden, Jason Duane Camden, Tara Jill Camden, Adrian Keach Parmley, Joshua Faber Camden and Morgan Beth Stroup; 10 great grandchildren, Jordan Gant, Jasmine Gant, Jayden Camden, Tristan Camden, Taylor Camden, Katlynn McNeil, Savannah Albright, Callie Albright, Grady Camden and Paxton Camden; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at First Church UPC in Batesville with Rev. B.J. Thomas, Rev. Dennis Anderson and Rev. Aubrey Jayroe officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery located in Batesville with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will be Friday, September 12, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the First Church UPC in Batesville. Pallbearers will be Michael Camden, Jason Camden, Jeremy Camden, Joshua Camden, Adrian Parmley and Carl Wilson. Honorary pallbearers are Jim Birkhead, Ron Abbott, Roger Crawford, O.D. Hobbs, Harold Beck and Wesley Wren Sr.
