Dale W. Moore age 83 of the Hutchinson Mountain Community died Thursday, September 11, 2014 at an Ash Flat nursing home. He was born January 7, 1931 at Amagon, Arkansas to Arva Lee and Bertie Elizabeth (Tate ) Moore. He graduated from Moler Barber College in Memphis and owned and operated a barber shop in Memphis for several years. He then returned to Arkansas and worked as a cattle farmer for the majority of his life. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Helen Jean Gould Moore; one brother, Lowell Moore; one sister, Louise Ford and one granddaughter, Maranda Estes Verser. Survivors include two sons, Steve Moore of the Hutchinson Mountain Community and Randal Moore of Evening Shade; two daughters, Marilyn Brown of Arp, Texas and Linda Sherwood of Columbia, South Carolina; two sisters, Bernice Parks and Bonnie Reaves both of Cordova, Tennessee; six grandchildren, Jennifer Gholson of Henderson, Texas, Brad Brown of Spanish Fort, Alabama, Kyle Brown of Arp, Texas, Hannah Moore of Murfreesboro,Tennessee, Aaron Estes of Bull Shoals and Brooke Phillips of Lufkin, Texas; twelve great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Sunday, September 14, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Matt Gholson officiating. Burial will follow in the Kyler Cemetery located at Southside with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will be Saturday, September 13, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Craig Sherwood, Dale Brown, Aaron Estes, Brad Brown, Levi Verser and Jacob Moore.
