Helen Garrison

Helen Garrison age 92 of Batesville died Sunday, September 28, 2014 at a Batesville hospital. She was born May 2, 1922 at Panama, Oklahoma to George and Mary (Bobo) Stewart. She was a homemaker and a member of the 20th Street Baptist Church in Batesville. She enjoyed hunting and fishing and held the state walleye record for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, L.E. Garrison; three brothers, John Stewart, Clarence Stewart and Jack Stewart and two sisters, Ruby Tomlinson and Gladys Stewart. Survivors include one son, Darrell Garrison and wife Sherry of Melbourne; one adopted daughter, Sandra Garrison; two grandsons, Lanny Garrison and wife Margaret of Cave City and Lane Garrison of Mt. Pleasant; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wyatt Cemetery located at Rosie. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. No visitation is planned.
