Myrtle Dugger age 89 of Batesville died Sunday, September 28, 2014 at a Batesville hospital. She was born October 21, 1924 at Newark, Arkansas to Dallas and Lillie Mae (Walker) Davis. She was retired from the Arkansas Department of Human Services; was a graduate of Arkansas College (now Lyon College) and was a substitute teacher at the Southside Schools for many years. She was member of the North Heights Church of Christ in Batesville. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Don Dugger; one son, Alva Gene Dugger and one brother, Dallas Davis. Survivors include one son, Bill Dugger and his wife Eddie of Batesville; two daughters, Donna Sue Carlton and Kay Carlton both of Batesville; a daughter-in-law, Frances Dugger of Searcy; eleven grandchildren, Sabrina Reynolds and husband Ricky, Jonathan Dugger, Joseph Dugger and wife Angie, Donnie Carlton and wife Joanne, Andrew Carlton and wife Millie, Steven Carlton, Lilli Peugeot, Marcy Foster and husband Chris, Jason Dugger and wife Angela, Josh Dugger and Justin Dugger and wife Tara; fourteen great grandchildren five great-great grandchildren; two nieces and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Thursday October 2, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the North Heights Church of Christ in Batesville with Chuck Crow and Dr. Ed Myers officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt Zion Cemetery located at Newark with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 1, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Dugger, Joseph Dugger, Justin Dugger, Jason Dugger, Donnie Carlton and Steven Carlton. Honorary pallbearers are Andrew Carlton and Jeremy Carlton.
