O.C. Mullen

August 20, 1933 — October 3, 2014

O.C. Mullen age 81 of Cave City died Friday, October 3, 2014 at a Batesville nursing home. He was born August 20, 1933 at Jesup, Arkansas to Ostridge Cleo and Rosa Belle (Green) Mullen. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was retired from the White River Medical Center in Batesville having worked 20 years in the maintenance department. He was a member of the Mount View Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Jo Mullen; one son, Mike Mullen; four brothers, Earl Mullen, Jeff Mullen, Glen Mullen and R.W. Mullen and four sisters, Idel Wilburn, Lois Osborn, Mae Hoggard and Noma DeJarnette. Survivors include two daughters, Judy Walling and husband Mitchell of Cave City and Penny Snyder of Little Rock; seven grandchildren, Eddie Walling and wife Crystal of Cave City, Nathan Walling and wife Jennifer of Cave City, Matthew Snyder and wife Diana of Little Rock, David Snyder and wife Ariel of Bono, Bobbi Lee Skipper and husband Chad of Searcy, Joseph Snyder and wife Lindsey of Rison and Bethany Richardson and husband Eric of Cave City; eleven great grandchildren, Seth Walling, Clayton Walling, Hannah Walling, Avery Walling, Milo Snyder, Jordan Walling, Maggie Skipper, Ruth Snyder, Aria Snyder, Mason Skipper and Edison Richardson; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Monday, October 6, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Joseph Snyder and Dennis Gay officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount View Cemetery located east of Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Monday, October 6, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Eddie Walling, Nathan Walling, Matthew Snyder, David Snyder, Chad Skipper, Eric Richardson, Kenny Snyder and Danny Watson. Honorary pallbearers are his great grandsons.
