Roy Lee Branscum

March 15, 1946 — October 30, 2014

Roy Lee Branscum age 68 of Cave City died Thursday, October 30, 2014 at a Batesville hospital. He was born March 15, 1946 at Batesville, Arkansas to A.J. “Shorty” Branscum and Irene( Osborn) Branscum. He was retired from White Rodgers in Batesville and was a poultry farmer for several years. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Linda (Marlin) Branscum; four brothers, Richard Branscum, Claud Branscum, James Branscum and Jerry Branscum and one sister, Helen Jones. Survivors include one son, Stephen Branscum and wife Betty of Cave City; two daughters, Angela Kuykendall and husband Tim of Kingsport, Tennessee and Janette Finley and husband Raymond of Cave City; two brothers, Willie Branscum of Searcy and David Branscum of Southside; two sisters, Betty Roberts of Batesville and Floy Jean Pearson of Evening Shade; seven grandchildren, Joshua Kuykendall and Jordan Kuykendall both of Kingsport, Tennessee, Kyle Branscum, Bryce Branscum and Juliana Denman all of Cave City, Blake Finley and Nova Finley both of Newark; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Sunday, November 2, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Rev. Russell Hensley officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery located southeast of Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Saturday, November 1, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Bryan Branscum, James Branscum Jr., Scotty Branscum, Ryan Branscum, Matt Branscum and Richard Matheny.
