Estes Clara “Shorty” Reynolds age 89 of Batesville died Friday, November 28, 2014 at a Batesville nursing home. He was born February 25, 1925 in Izard County, Arkansas to Charles and Ruthie (Reagan) Reynolds. He was a tree trimmer for Asplundh Tree Service; a Master Mason and a member of the Weaver’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Veda Beatrice (Nieman) Reynolds; six brothers, G.W. Reynolds, Floyd Reynolds, Collie Reynolds; Clyde Reynolds, J.C. Reynolds and Charles Glen Reynolds; four sisters, Ethel Reynolds, Opal Johnson, Edith Elms and Ruby Palmer and one great- granddaughter, Gabby Reynolds. Survivors include two sons, Howard Reynolds and wife Barbara of Cave City and Gary Reynolds and wife Carol of Russell Kansas; one daughter, Shirley Weathers of Batesville; ten grandchildren; twenty -six great grandchildren; one great- great grandchild; a special nephew, Darrell Michael Reynolds of Guerenville, California; several other nephews and nieces and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Donald Palmer officiating. Burial with Masonic Rites will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery located at Locust Grove with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will be Monday, December 1, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Keith Anderson, Alan Ballard, Phillip Wilson, Gregory Dease, Randy Palmer and Dylan Milligan. Honorary pallbearers are Jason Holt, Michael Holt, Greg Weathers, Tyler Reynolds, Brian Reynolds and the Weavers Chapel Free Will Baptist Church Senior Bible Class.
