Donald R. Vanston

Donald R. Vanston age 89 of Batesville died Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at a Batesville hospital. He was born March 29, 1925 at Waterloo, Iowa to Wesley Franklin and Mary Christina (Rasmussen) Vanston. He was a retired truck driver for T.I.M.E.- DC Trucking Company. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Batesville. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Mary Louise Vanston and Helen Vanston. Survivors include a special companion, Lucille Maris of Batesville; two daughters, Paula Vanston Simon of St. Joseph, Missouri and Barbara Vanston Deneen of Bellflower, California; six grandchildren; several great grandchildren; a nephew, Louis Kroenecke of Houston Texas and a host of other relatives and friends.
