Bonita West

Bonita West age 67 of Batesville died Saturday, December 13, 2014 at her home. She was born December 24, 1946 in Louisiana to Richard Franklin and Lena (Lofton) Heard. She was a retired secretary for the Department of Defense in Alaska and Texas. She was of the Christian faith. She was preceded in death by her parents and one great granddaughter, McKinnley Faye Lindsey. Survivors include one son, Steven LaDonn Elliott of Texas; one daughter, Juanita Kerr of Cave City; one brother, Roger Heard of Cave City; three sisters, Mary Crofton of Batesville, LaNean Seale of Texas and Christine Sugano of California; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Juanita Kerr officiating. Burial will follow in the Palestine Cemetery located at Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 16, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Samantha Stinnett, James Kerr Jr., Karen Cuevas, Gabriela Cuevas, Sarah Lindsey and Steven Elliott.
