Marianne Ash

Marianne Ash age 83 of Desha died Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at a Batesville nursing home. She was born November 27, 1931 at Hochstdat, Germany to Wilhelm and Margareta (Stein) Mankel. She was retired from ConAgra Foods in Batesville and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Desha. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jerald D. Ash. Survivors include one brother, Wilhelm Mankel of Hochstdat, Germany; two nieces and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Friday, January 2, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Bro. Curt Howard officiating. Burial will follow in the Blue Springs Cemetery located at Newark with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will be Friday, January 2, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Neil Burrow, David Hartwick, Danny Ash, Brett Farris, Fred Bufford and Dustin Kramer. Honorary pallbearers are Max Edwards and Wayne Wyatt.
