Yvonne Marie Michel Tritsch Meskimen age 83 of Cave City died Monday, January 12, 2015 at a Batesville nursing home. She was born November 19, 1931 at Shenandoah, Iowa to Harry Edwin and Nora Hazel Griffin Michel. She was a homemaker; a member of Lydia’s Circle; a member of The NATS and a member of the Independence County Master Gardeners. She was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Delbert Carl Tritsch and Leland William Meskimen; two sons, Gregory L. Meskimen and an infant son and one brother, Donovan Michel. Survivors include five sons, Tim Tritsch of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Terry Tritsch of Pontotoc, Mississippi, Ted Tritsch of Earlham, Iowa, Mark Meskimen of Newark and Kurt Meskimen of Cave City; one daughter, Kristina Meskimen Thompson of Batesville; four sisters, Pat Hall of Des Moines, Iowa, Sharon Gilbert of Northboro, Iowa, Gayle Moody of Northboro, Iowa and Gwen Markett of Shenandoah, Iowa; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City with Bro. Ron Canard officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount View Cemetery located east of Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Friday, January 16, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City. Pallbearers will be Justin Meskimen, Kurt Meskimen, Mark Meskimen, Tim Tritsch, Terry Tritsch and Ted Tritsch. Honorary pallbearers are her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
