Leonora Irene Baker age 93 of Cherokee Village died Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at an Ash Flat nursing home. She was born August 2, 1921 at St. Joseph, Illinois to George Owen and Clara Jane (McCullam) Penrod. She was a homemaker and a member of the Ward Street Church of Christ in Hardy. She was a volunteer for the Cherokee Village Senior Center, the Hardy Tourist Center and the American Legion at Cherokee Village. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clifford Julian Baker; four brothers and two sisters. Survivors include two daughters, Marian Lynne Day of Terre Haute, Indiana and Connie Jean Searcy and her husband David of Indianapolis, Indiana; one sister, Louise Coletti of Anderson, Indiana; two grandchildren, Jeffrey Brent Richards of Cherokee village and Jennifer Dawn Andrick and husband Austin of Indianapolis, Indiana; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
