Dorothy Lee (Fike) Beckum

Dorothy Lee (Fike) Beckum age 71 of Rosie died Friday, January 23, 2015 at her home. She was born December 19, 1943 at Rosie, Arkansas to Paul Abner and Willie Amy (Hayes) Fike. She was retired from the Cedar Ridge School District and was a member of the Magness Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 40 years, Jack Beckum; one brother, Edwin Fike; two sisters, Judy Fike and Peggy Fike and one granddaughter, Leslie Beckum. Survivors include two sons, Jackie Beckum and Mark Beckum both of Rosie; three daughters, Lisa Beasley of Rosie, Darla Perrin of Batesville and Mandy Richardson of Southside; four brothers, Karrell Fike, Ellis Fike, Paul Wesley Fike and Danny Fike all of Rosie; one sister, Kathey Parker of Rosie; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Ricky Layton and Sam (Hick) Beasley officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Springs Cemetery located at Rosie with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will be Monday, January 26, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jackie Beckum, Tony Beckum, Sam (Hick) Beasley, Jimmy McClurg, Timothy Beckum, Ed Richardson, Nathan Richardson and Preston Jones. Honorary pallbearers are Matthew Taylor, Jerry Allen, Mark Beckum, Damon Jones and Chris Jones.
