Willene Metcalf

Willene Metcalf age 98 of Batesville (formerly of Evening Shade) died Saturday, January 24, 2015 at a Batesville nursing home. She was born July 28, 1916 at Booneville, Arkansas to Edgar and Mary Jane “Maine” Duren. She was a retired school teacher , having taught many years at Evening Shade. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Batesville. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, E.B. “Ted” Metcalf and one brother, Edgar Aaron Duren. Survivors include a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Rev. Stacy Reed and Bro. Robert Hutchison officiating. Burial will follow in the Evening Shade Cemetery located at Evening Shade with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. No visitation is planned.
