Judy Marlin Sweet age 59 of Harrison died Monday, January 26, 2015 at a Mountain Home hospital. She was born November 30, 1955 at Batesville, Arkansas to Ernest R. and Lola Mae (Sims) Marlin. She was a social worker for Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home. She graduated from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro with a Bachelors Degree in Social Work and went on to receive a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Missouri at Columbia, Missouri. She was saved and baptized at the age of 17 at the First United Methodist Church in Cave City. She attended the First United Methodist Church in Mountain Home. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, William “Bill” Sweet of the home; one son, Cody Bassham and wife Marlys of Conway; two brothers, Ernie Marlin and wife Barbara of Cave City and Ronnie Marlin and wife Sandra of Searcy; a very special friend, Jo Ann Plumlee of Mountain Home; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cave City Cemetery located at Cave City with Bro. Ron Marlin officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. No visitation is planned. Honorary pallbearers are all her cousins.
