Bennie Lou Denton age 76 of Poughkeepsie died Sunday, February 1, 2015 at a Batesville hospital. She was born March 30, 1938 at Evening Shade, Arkansas to Benjamin Franklin and Lucille (Brown) Emmerich. She was a homemaker and retired as a municipal court clerk in Sharp County. She was member of the Little Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Poughkeepsie. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Duwayne Denton; three infant brothers, C.P. Emmerich, Buford Emmerich and Daniel Emmerich and one sister, Youvonne Emmerich. Survivors include two sons, Ben Denton of Paragould and Danny Denton and wife Dee of Poughkeepsie; two brothers, Dorron Emmerich of Horatio and Dorris Emmerich of Phoenix City, Alabama; two sisters, Madie Lee Collens of St. Louis, Missouri and Emma Derryberry of Lonoke; two grandchildren, Dustin Denton and wife Ashley of Center and Adam Denton and wife Heather of Paragould; three great grandchildren, Kindyl Denton of Center, Jeremiah Denton and Helen Denton both of Paragould; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 10:00 a.m.at the Little Springs Missionary Baptist Church at Poughkeepsie with Bro. Jackie Pickett and Bro. Sammy Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in the Center Cemetery located at Center with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 3, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Boyd Russell, Bryan Russell, Dustin Denton, Adam Denton, Tommy Morgan and Kenneth Seat. Honorary pallbearers are Noel Russell, Duane Fulton and Kevin King.
