Brian R. Breckenridge age 72 of Cave City died Thursday, February 19, 2015 at the Ash Flat Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ash Flat. He was born December 23, 1942 at Van Nuys, California to Grant Clifford and Rosie (Maletta) Breckenridge. He was a farmer and a journeyman plumber. He was a veteran of the U.S. Naval Reserve and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Cave City. He was preceded in death by his father, Grant Clifford Breckenridge. Survivors include his wife, Judy E. Breckenridge of the home; one daughter, Brenda C. Breckenridge of Cave City; one son, Douglas J. Breckenridge of Sturgeon, Missouri;his mother, Rosie Breckenridge of Cave City; two brothers, Alan C. Breckenridge of Cave City and Stephen D. Breckenridge of Camarillo, California; two sisters, Judy Ann Miller of Cave City and Nancy J. Young of Batesville; four grandchildren, Jilliann Spurlock Tobey and husband Brad of Sherwood, Jocelyn Spurlock of Jonesboro, Tyler Breckenridge of Mayfield, Kentucky and Shayla Breckenridge of Sturgeon, Missouri; two great grandchildren, Lesia Knuckles and Emma Knuckles both of Jonesboro; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Cave City with Doyne Robinson and Richard Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in the Maxville Cemetery located at Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 24, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church. Pallbearers will be Arch Westmoreland, Stephen Breckenridge, Bert Miller, Joe Stidman, Reid Womack and Ronald Qualls. Honorary pallbearers are Alan Breckenridge, Jerry Young and King Havens.
