Jimmy Clem age 88 of Cave City died Tuesday. February 24, 2015 at a Melbourne nursing home. He was born October 11, 1926 at Trumann, Arkansas to Jim and Bertie (Cupp) Clem. He was retired from Singer Sewing Machine in Trumann and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of the Eastside Southern Baptist Church in Cave City where he served as a deacon. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Thurman Clem, Harold Clem and an infant brother and one sister, Betty Smith. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Ruth Clem of the home; one son, Anthony Clem of Portia; two daughters, Karen Church of Cave City and Rita Disch of Marshall; one brother, William Clem of Florida; five grandchildren, Amy Dunning and Carrie Roberts both of Trumann, Josh Clem and Samuel Clem both of Portia and Mark Church of Cave City; six great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Friday, February 27, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Bobby Walker and Maurice Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow in the Maxville Cemetery located at Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Josh Clem, Samuel Clem, Mark Church, Adam Church, Jacob Roberts and Jerry Dunning. Honorary pallbearers are Dr, Seth Barnes and Dr. Hunter Brown.
