Amos T. Miller Sr. age 86 years, 9 months, and 3 days died peacefully at his home in Strawberry, Arkansas on Thursday, March 5, 2015. He was born June 2, 1928 at Thomas, Oklahoma to the late Tobe and Mattie (Yoder) Miller. On March 15, 1951, he was married to Elva Miller and they shared life for almost 60 years. He was baptized in his youth and was a faithful member of the Strawberry Mennonite Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Elva Miller; a daughter, Elizabeth Miller; two infant great grandchildren and three sisters, Ada Miller, Martha Miller and Sylvia Byler; a brother-in-law, Steve Yoder and a sister-in-law, Florence Miller. Survivors include five sons, David Miller and wife Miriam (Zook) Miller of Stuarts Draft, VA, Sam Miller and wife Linda (Thomas) Miller of Strawberry, AR, Amos Miller Jr. and wife Rachael (Beachy) Miller of Stuarts Draft, VA, Simon Miller and wife Anna Mary (Beachy) Miller of Itasca, TX and Enos Miller and wife Charlotte (Miller) Miller of Belvidere, TN; twin daughters, Ruth Miller and Rhoda Miller both of Strawberry, AR; five sisters, Elizabeth Miller and husband Irvin of Stuarts Draft, Va, Sarah Ann Yoder of Stuarts Draft, VA, Minnie Yoder and husband Noah of Guthrie, KY, Fannie Miller of Stuarts Draft, VA, Clara Beachy and husband, Henry of Huntland, TN; one brother, Alva Miller of Fredonia, KY; 36 grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Sunday, March 8, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Strawberry Mennonite Church located at Jesup, AR with Joe Weirich, Ernie Yoder, Phillip Mast and Loren Troyer officiating. Burial will follow in the Jesup Cemetery with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Saturday, March 7, 2015 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Strawberry Mennonite Church located at Jesup. Pallbearers will be David Miller, Sam Miller, Amos Miller, Jr., Simon Miller, Enos Miller and Joe Miller.
