John Roland "Jack" Reynolds

John Roland “Jack” Reynolds age 86 of Batesville passed away peacefully on March 6, 2015 at the Cave City Nursing Home. He was born July 26, 1928 in a small cabin on the family property on Sandtown Rd. in Batesville, Arkansas to Elmer and Climmie (Dickie) Reynolds. He was the third child of eight children. He moved to California in 1948 where he met his wife, Mary Ann Buckler (deceased) whom he married on October 14, 1950 in Antioch, California. They were married for 60 years. He worked for U.S. Steel in Pittsburg, California for 25 years before moving back to Batesville, Arkansas. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and most of all farming! He also enjoyed spending time with his only grandchild, John, who when he was young would come and spend every summer with his grandparents and eventually moved here to be with them, 17 years ago. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Climmie (Dickie) Reynolds; his wife, Mary Ann (Buckler) Reynolds; one son, John Roland Reynolds, Jr. and two brothers, James Reynolds and Coyce Reynolds. Survivors include two daughters, Jacki Sullivan and husband Jim of Antioch, California and Debra Reynolds of Forrest City, Arkansas; one grandson, John Sullivan of Cave City, Arkansas; one brother, Don Reynolds and wife Pat of Searcy, Arkansas; four sisters, Imogene Stoeckle of Eureka, California, Marie Matthews of Escalon, California, Joyce Kennard of Antioch, California and Caroline Reynolds; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Brett Morris officiating. Burial will follow in the Lee’s Chapel Cemetery located at Sandtown with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 10, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Trent Bradley, Gavin Franke, Roger Brown, John Patterson, Craig Pickering and Rodney Barnett. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Crumley, Keith McPherson and Jeff Morris.
