Thomas “Tom” Foley age 89 of Cave City died Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at a Batesville hospital. He was born July 9, 1925 at Jesup, Arkansas to Thomas and Myrtle (Smith) Foley. He worked at the International Shoe Factory in Batesville for 18 years and retired from the Cave City School District having worked in maintenance for 34 years, He was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Betty Foley; one brother, Jack Smith and one sister, Mildred Anderson. Survivors include his wife, Linda Foley of the home; one son, Gary Foley of Sidney; three step-daughters, Tina Beck and Lori Byrd both of Cave City and Kathy Sellers of Columbus, Mississippi; four grandchildren, Alina Grammer and husband Eddie of Siloam Springs, Michael Foley and wife Marissa of Cave City, Kelsey Goodman and husband B.J. of Cave City and Kiley Foley of Sidney; eight great grandchildren, Garrett McSpadden and wife Whitney of Jonesboro, Matthew McSpadden of Siloam Springs, Marina McSpadden of Oil Trough, Jaimie Grammer, Austin Grammer, Olivia Foley, Alissa Foley and Corbin Glenn Goodman all of Cave City; nine step-grandchildren, Blake Tacker, Derick Tacker, Makayla Tacker, Willard Beck, Jesse Beck, Emalee Beck, Elizabeth Canard, Scott Phillips and Melissa Phillips; three step-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City with Bro. Ron Canard officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount View Cemetery located east of Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Friday, March 20, 2015 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the First Missionary Baptist Church at Cave City. Pallbearers will be Byron Bristow, Blake Tacker, Derick Tacker, Garrett McSpadden, Matthew McSpadden and Austin Grammer.
