Scott Jones age 74 of Poughkeepsie died Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at a Mountain Home hospital. He was born April 3, 1941 at Nelsonville, Arkansas to Jeff McAdam and Vida Estella Diceston Jones. He was a farmer and served on the Poughkeepsie School Board for 17 years. He was a member of the Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church where he served as an Adult Sunday School Teacher. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, George T. Jones and Waymon Paul Jones and two sisters, Charlene Maxwell and Jeffie Farmer. Survivors include his wife of 56 years Deanna Parvin Jones of the home; four sons, Allen Jones, Randy Jones, Stacy Jones and Tracy Jones all of Poughkeepsie; one daughter, Cynthia Duncan of Poughkeepsie; three sisters, Buhton Jones and Robbie Nell Hash both of Cave City and Jane Swango of Anderson, Indiana; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Maxville Missionary Baptist Church located north of Cave City with Bro. Phillip Lewallen officiating. Burial will follow in the Lebanon Cemetery located at Poughkeepsie with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Friday, April 10, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the church. Pallbearers are Jared Jones, Philip Duncan, Wyatt Jones, Garrett Duncan, Curt Jones, Tyler Booth, Garrett McSpadden and Caleb Lewallen. Honorary pallbearers are Jacob Jones, Levi Jones and Will Jones.
