Annemarie Wolfe Avey age 75 of Evening Shade died Wednesday, April 8, 2015. She was born November 9, 1939 at Grafenhausen, Germany to Georg and Annamarie Mertz. She was a homemaker, a former Evening Shade City Council Member; a member of the Evening Shade Betterment Association; a member of the Evening Shade VFW Post 8042 Ladies Auxiliary and a member of Faith Assembly of God Church at Evening Shade. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, George Wolfe and Ralph Avey; one son, James Wolfe and one sister, Elli Amler. Survivors include one son, John Wolfe and wife Penny of Evening Shade; two step-sons, Patrick Wolfe of Evansville, Indiana and Reed Avey of Evening Shade; two step-daughters, Sherry Popham of Key West, Florida and Shelley Davis of Evening Shade; a daughter-in-law, Judy Smith of Evening Shade; three grandchildren, Lori Wolfe, Mollie Wolfe and Matthew Wolfe all of Evening Shade; eight step-grandchildren, Wesley Sharp, Adam Sharp, Haley Sharp Stout, Randy Avey, Melissa Bagwell, Russell Avey, Ryan Avey and Amanda Avey; numerous great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Faith Assembly of God Church in Evening Shade with Bro. Larry Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in the Evening Shade Cemetery with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Friday, April 10, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Carlton Davis, Dalton Palmer, Matthew Wolfe, Richard Huff, Richard Hebert and Dwight Sharp. Honorary pallbearers are Meredith “Red” Jaggers, John Smith and Dan Jenisch.
