Pauline Lassiter Bray, age 97, of Evening Shade went home to be with the Lord on April 22, 2015 in the Lonoke Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Lonoke, Arkansas. She was born November 11, 1917 to Robert and Lorena Claxton Lassiter at Sidney, AR. She was united in holy matrimony to Thomas Lowell Bray on July 8, 1934 and they were married for 67 years. To this union were born four children. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, a homemaker and a former cook for the Evening Shade School District. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Evening Shade. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Thomas Cordell Bray, one daughter, Mary Cheleast Black and husband Charley, one grandson, Donie Dwyane Bray, one brother, Dallas Lassiter and two sisters, Stella Shirley and Minnie Matlock. Survivors include one son, Jimmy Bray and wife Ladene of Batesville; one daughter, Jan Moore and husband Jack of Lonoke; five grandchildren, Steve Black and Bobby Black of Hampton, Virginia; Larry Black of Smithville, Virginia; Jackie Moore of Lonoke and Margie Powell of Cabot; ten great-grandchildren, Brandon Black, Jennifer Razor, Jamie Moeller, Jessica Moore, Graham Powell, Jake Powell, Ben Powell, Mary Powell, Breanna Bray and Natasha Bray; two great-great grandchildren, Lila Razor and Hailey Powell. Funeral services will be Sunday, April 26, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Evening Shade with Robert Hutchison officiating. Burial will follow in the Yeager Cemetery with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be April 26, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Steve Black, Jackie Moore, Margie Powell, Graham Powell, Jake Powell, and Ben Powell.
