The family of Avalene Taylor is deeply saddened by the loss of our dear mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Avalene Taylor age 95 passed away Friday, May 1, 2015 in Palm Springs, California. She was born on April 1, 1920 to Elvin and Virgie Milligan of Strawberry, Arkansas. She is survived by two daughters, Freda Main and husband Leland of Orange, California and Sandra Kay Samartino and husband Leonard of Morongo, Valley, California; one grandson, Jeffrey Hovis and wife Jeannie of Banning, California; one granddaughter, Janet Cooper and husband Craig of Riverside, California; two great grandchildren, Brooklynne Cooper and Brandon Cooper; two sisters, Mary Aldene Wilson of Fort Worth, Texas and Birteen Walker-Robins of Strawberry; one brother, Fred Dale and sister-in-law Beverly Milligan of Cord; a sister-in-law, Georgie Milligan; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: her husband, Billy S. Taylor and one brother, Mitchell Milligan. Funeral services will be Friday, May 8, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Rev. Alan Meinzer officiating. Burial will follow in the Milligan Campground Cemetery located near Strawberry with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Friday,May 8, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
