Floyd C. Peel

Floyd C. Peel age 92 of Drasco died Monday, May 25, 2015 at a Des Arc nursing home. He was born July 24, 1922 at Almond, Arkansas to Edward Franklin and Cora L. Ellems Peel. He was a retired timber worker, a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and a member of the Christian Lighthouse Church at Concord. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Georgia Peel; two sons, Wayne Peel and Michael Peel; four brothers and one sister. Survivors include one son, William Peel and wife Bobbie of Bartow, Florida; two daughters, Malinda Underwood (Vandergriff) and husband Van of Searcy and Mary Kelley and husband Wade of Somerville,Tennessee; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be Friday, May 29, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Locust Grove Cemetery located at Locust Grove with Bro. Paul Johnson officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will be Thursday, May 28, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
