Norman E. Boyer age 91 of Evening Shade died Saturday, June 13, 2015 at an Ash Flat Nursing home. He was born December 7, 1923 at Puxico, Missouri to Edward and Vesta (Bowman) Boyer. He was a retired railroad worker and a member of the Piney Fork Church of Christ at Evening Shade. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Edward Waldo Boyer. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Boyer of the home; one son, Russell Boyer of Oregon; one daughter, Roberta Boyer of Evening Shade; three stepsons, James Williams of North Carolina, Robert Williams of Texas and Jeff Williams of Evening Shade;one grandson, Brian Boyer; one great granddaughter, Jessica Boyer; three step-grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Phillip Lewallen officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnes Cemetery located at Evening Shade with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 16, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Barry Wilkes, Stacy Jones, Randy Jones, Wayne Wolfe, Allen Jones and Kolby Carnett.
