Allene Britten Caldwell age 85 of Batesville died Thursday, June 25, 2015 at a Batesville hospital. She was born March 28, 1930 at Batesville, Arkansas to Lee Wesley and Jane (Crawford) Britten. She worked many years at the International Shoe Factory in Batesville and also for Fast Break at White Rodgers in Batesville. She was a member of the Charlotte Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Otis Caldwell; one brother, Fred Britten and four sisters, Geraldine Turner, Oma Allen, Alma Huddleston and Helen Gist. Survivors include one son , Frankie Caldwell of Batesville; one daughter, Diane Horn of Batesville; one brother, Gary Britten of Batesville; one sister, Melba Jean Stotts of Elwood, Indiana; three grandchildren, Brian Horn of Jonesboro, Shawn Caldwell of Batesville and Regan Caldwell of Nashville, Tennessee; four great grandchildren, Isaac Horn of Nashville, Tennessee, Blake Caldwell of Batesville, Adam Horn of Jonesboro and Maggie Beth Horn of Jonesboro; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Chuck Crow and Tracy Grissom officiating. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens at Batesville with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville. Visitation will be Saturday, June 27, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Brian Horn, Shawn Caldwell, Regan Caldwell, Blake Caldwell, Isaac Horn and Adam Horn. Honorary pallbearer is Maggie Beth Horn.
