Shelby Donald Qualls age 73 of Evening Shade departed this life on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 in Evening Shade. He was born June 21, 1942 in Evening Shade, Arkansas to James Herman and Beulah Othel (Hoaney) Qualls. He was a truck driver and retired from the Sharp County Road Department. He was a member of the Piney Fork Church of Christ in Evening Shade and an avid horseman. He was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew, Donie Dwyane Bray. Survivors include his wife, Carol Lee Qualls of the home; one daughter, Brenda Lee Harmon of Evening Shade; one grandson, Joshua Austin Harmon of Bethesda; two brothers, Ronald Qualls and Bill Qualls both of Evening Shade; one sister, Ladene Bray of Batesville; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 4, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Piney Fork Church of Christ at Evening Shade with Pat Proctor officiating. Burial will follow in the Evening Shade Cemetery with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Friday, July 3, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Gene Qualls, Kevin Qualls, Chris Qualls, Mike Graddy, Randy Paysinger, and Andrew Arnold. Honorary pallbearers are Dwight Sharp, Sonny Cole, Lloyd Campbell, Phillip Hood, Larry Pries, Gordon Hale and Bobby VanWinkle.
