Tommy Gene Dew age 81 of Batesville died Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at the Cave City Nursing Home. He was born January 24, 1934 at Batesville, Arkansas to Theodore Roosevelt and Myrtle Story Dew. He was a retired truck driver and of the Methodist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Tommy Lee Dew and Michael Lynn Dew; one daughter, Sheri Dew; one brother, Doyle Dew; one sister, Anna Mae Riggs and one grandson, Josh Strother. Survivors include one son Jerry Keith Dew of Batesville; three daughters, Delorise Cotton of Cave City, Sheila Strother of Southside and Janet Collins of Locust Grove; one sister, Betty Downs of Cave City; ten grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Cave Creek Cemetery located north of Batesville with Bro. Bobby Sanders officiating. Arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. No visitation is planned. Pallbearers will be Michael Strother, Kelly Cannon, Shandy Cannon, Charles Cotton, William Downs and Steven Dew.
