Kathryn Lashley age 56 of Evening Shade had her sunset on Sunday, September 27, 2015. Her sunrise was on January 24, 1959 at Charlotte, North Carolina. She was the daughter of Vance and Jacqueline Miller Motley. She was a homemaker, enjoyed old cars and hot rodding. She was an avid NASCAR fan. She was a wife, best friend, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jacqueline Miller Motley; a son, Robert Vance Lashley and her maternal grandmother, Florence Spieler. Survivors include her husband Robert Lashley of the home; a daughter, Sonja Lashley-Purifoy and her husband Ford of Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico; her father, Vance Motley of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; three brothers, Kenneth Motley and Jon Motley both of New Smyrna Beach, Florida and Thomas Motley of Fairfield Maine; one sister, Janice Graham of Florence, South Carolina; two grandchildren, Delani Purifoy and Rylan Nichols both of Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be Friday October 2, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Campground Cemetery located north of Evening Shade. Arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Thursday, October 1, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
