Billy Bob Pinkston age 85 of Cave City died Friday, October 2, 2015 at the Cave City Nursing Home. He was born June 20, 1930 at Cave City, Arkansas to Olaf and Orilla (Carpenter) Pinkston. He was employed by International Shoe Factory for 19 years and retired from LaCroix Optical both in Batesville. He was mayor of Cave City for 6 years and served on the Cave City City Council for several years. He was a United States Air Force Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Billie Jean (Johnson ) Pinkston of the home; one son, Larry Pinkston and wife Carol of Batesville; two daughters, Judy Huggins and husband Charles of Benton and Linda Pinkston of Cave City; three sisters, Norma Wooldridge of Little Rock, Janna Freeman of Cave City and Loretta Sites of Fairfield Bay; six grandchildren, Karen Coltharp and husband Brian of Batesville, Scott Pinkston and wife Amy of Batesville, Beth Albin and husband David of Fayetteville, Clint Huggins of Fayetteville, Melissa Burkhead and husband Daniel of Benton and Sherri Farris and husband Chris of Searcy; eleven great grandchildren; several step grand and step great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Monday, October 5, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City with Carroll Sites and Ron Canard officiating. Burial will follow in the Cave City Cemetery with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City. Visitation will be Sunday, October 4, 2015 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City. Pallbearers will be Clint Huggins, Scott Pinkston, Brian Coltharp, Michael May, Tyler Hooper and Daniel Burkhead. Honorary pallbearers are the Staff of Cave City Nursing Home.
